Our Farm
Our History
Pine Ridge Farm in Kersey, PA has been in the Kemmer family for six generations, with the original farmhouse built in the mid-1800s.
Pine Ridge Farm Special Events hosts weddings, bridal and baby showers, a corn maze, and more celebrations of special occasions on the property.
Pine Ridge Farm started years ago when fifth-generation April Cush’s great, great grandparents from Germany raised six children in the main house and made a living by running a bed and breakfast business for years. Even shortly after World War II, hunters would make the trip there to stay.
Cush’s parents, the Kemmers, now live in the main farmhouse, which includes boards from the original farmhouse, beams from the barn and other things all used on the farm. The farmhouse also features a library with old family and farm photos. Cush and her family cook for the guests and offer them a historical experience when they stay. When students attend for tours, they get to learn about heritage.
Fall is a great time to visit Pine Ridge Farm to enjoy their themed corn mazes and hay rides. Another guest favorite is Pine Ridge’s sunflower field, located near the corn maze. People also enjoy visiting with the goats, chickens, and cats.
A guest favorite, the fire pit arena, sits right outside the original farm house where guests can gather and enjoy the evening. The fire pit is made from stones gathered from the fields on the Pine Ridge Farm property.
Guests also travel from far away to view the spectacular sunsets from various places on the farm.
The family often refers to the farm as a “working farm and bed and breakfast,” since Pine Ridge Farm still has chickens, goats, canning goods, and a greenhouse full of flowers.
“God has blessed us with a great place here. Families get to build relationships and spend time together on our farm.”
— April Cush
